Don’t judge each day
by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.
-Robert Louis Stevenson
I am finding it harder to locate interesting things in the yard to photograph, as the leaves cover everything in a blanket of yellow and brown. No flowers, no bugs. The spiders have gone undercover.
This was a branch with a seedpod that Cassidy was carrying around while I was looking into trees and overturning rocks; she left it in a spot of sun on the porch and when we returned to the house, the seed pod had “blossomed” in the sunshine.
Somehow, I found that to be beautiful, and a source of hope.
Halloween tomorrow! The end of October already. Where do the hours and days go?
