  • Today Was a Big Day

First we had Cassidy’s End-of-Year Picnic.

Then we went to the store to purchase copious amounts of flour, sugar, butter, and vanilla for the Great American Bake Sale. (More on that tomorrow.)

Then Cassidy had her photo taken by a photographer from the News Journal.

She cleaned that window for fifteen minutes.

AND she got to sit on the counter. I’ve never seen her happier.

Why is there a photographer in my kitchen?

    It’s really not that exciting.

To make it exciting, I am Not Telling.

    Are you curious now?

  • Wednesday Morning Muir

“The grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried up at once; a shower is always falling; vapor ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and on continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls.”

    -John Muir

  • Tuesday Before-Bed Muir

Egads! I almost forgot today’s Muir!

It was Cassidy’s last day of school and I got sidetracked.

    But here it is:

“I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out until sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.”

    -John Muir
